The golf swing is a complex and unnatural movement that works the whole body. Addressing physical limitations with a golf conditioning program will help create symmetry and coordination, improve muscular endurance and increase range of motion.

A golf pro can help correct a golfer’s technique by altering grip, stance and hip turn ratio. But the underlying fault in many golf swings is in the body itself. The ball strike is connected to physical limitations, such as lack of flexibility, poor rotation, hip stability, general hip or leg weakness, shoulder instability, weakness in wrists and forearms, and poor core strength. The underlying limitations must be addressed at their physical source, and the body needs to be retrained in order to improve the swing, prevent injury and increase overall performance.

As a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor our ultimate goals are the same to help you play better golf and prevent injury. Together we can be a winning combination.

IS YOUR BODY UP TO PAR ?

Golf Conditioning Program

….love the game of golf but dislike the lower back, shoulder and muscle stiffness afterwards?
….know how to play but only “tag” one occasionally?
….taken the lessons but found it has not helped much?
….fatigued after 18 holes because you spent all your energy out on the course?

The Fitness2A Tee Program can help you improve your results.

…teach your BODY how to play the game and eliminate the post round pains.
…strengthen the “golf specific” muscles and release their power in your swing
…teach yourself true tempo and how to release your hands at impact for the consistent “tag”
…finish out rounds with more vigor and without shoulders slumping and dragging.

The Fitness2ATee Plan will help you:

• Balance your body on all planes
• Optimize your posture
• Liberate your head
• Increase overall strength
• Energize your hip and torso link
• Enhance your shoulder joint function
• Coordinate your movements….”tempo”
• Increase club head speed at impact….”release”

The Fitness2ATee Program starts with an assessment by a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor. This is where we learn what element of the golfer’s body and golf swing we need to focus on and improve. The strengths and weaknesses will be uncovered and head to toe body imbalances will be discovered. For example, if you have poor posture, it will be difficult to have good muscular balance. Likewise, strength and mobility go hand in hand; you gain advantage from one with the help of the other. The underlying physical limitations are addressed at the source and the body will be retrained in order to improve the swing, prevent injury and increase overall performance.

The Fitness2ATee off-season, pre-season and in-season Programs are designed for each individual golfer’s unique needs. Each program is affordable and will help golfers of all ages and abilities.

Fitness2ATee’s Golf Conditioning Program consists of 3 elements:

Evaluation: A 16 point evaluation is the starting point. They include posture, strength, and flexibility evaluations to identify problematic movement patterns.

2 Week Segment: Your physical limitations will be addressed during the initial 2 week segment with movements tailor made for each golfer’s unique needs. For example we will address some of the more common physical faults like, backswing sway, reverse spine angle or dipping, lower body lunge, casting and lower body rotation.

Conditioning Segment: After the initial 2 week segment, we’ll progress to the main conditioning segment. This is a comprehensive program where we will enhance all the physical attributes that will lead to improved golf potential. This section is unique for in-season, pre-season and off-season needs.
