TOM McAULIFFE, CERTIFIED PERSONAL TRAINER, NSPA, SFA, CGFI
Tom is a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor, offering tailored Golf Conditioning Programs that address the physical limitations affecting a golfer’s swing and overall game. Tom trains men and women, all fitness levels and various age groups.
A sought-after personal trainer and golf fitness instructor, Tom’s background and training has helped novice and veteran golfers improve their swing, increase stamina, reduce the risk of injury and enhance overall confidence in the game.
Alex, age 42, experienced golfer. “After 18 holes and walking the green, I found I was overly fatigued following my golf game. After introducing more cardio exercise and training my golf-specific muscles with Fitness2ATee, not only do I swing better, but I’m ready for 18 more holes!”
Kathryn, age 37, recreational golfer. “I had taken several golf lessons which helped me with my technique, but I still felt that I couldn’t succeed fully at the game. Tom’s tailored training helped me discover that my limitations were physical in nature. I had the know-how; all I needed was the muscle behind it. Thanks to Tom, I recently won “longest drive” at a charity golf event!”
Deciding to turn his passion for fitness into a profession, Tom became certified with the National Strength Professional Association (NSPA), and American Senior Fitness Association (SFA), with additional certifications in Stability Core Ball Training, Training Special Populations, and Fall Prevention Techniques.
Tom is a marathoner, tri-athlete, recreational baseball player, competitive cyclist and golfer. As a result, he truly understands the challenges, level of commitment and motivation necessary to attain a goal. Through this strong record of achievement, Tom understands that with all sports, conditioning is priority:
“If a baseball team’s winning shortstop did not spend significant time fitness training in addition to batting practice, he wouldn’t be a home-run asset for his team. In golf, you are your own teammate and conditioning your body for 80 to 100 plus swings is crucial.”
Tom lives his life knowing that regular exercise, good nutrition and proper rest will have a positive effect on every aspect of life. Tom resides in Northern Virginia with his family. When not helping golfers improve their games, he enjoys skiing, cycling tours throughout the east coast and being a volunteer coach for the Special Olympics, reiterating the reward that “every athlete is a winner”.
